ECM deburring technology has been the speciality of VMB Vorrichtungs- und Maschinenbau Babenhausen GmbH in D-87727 Babenhausen for some 20 years and the company is a world leader in this sector.
The company's ECM systems are now also available with industrial PC with interactive operator guidance. This yields several advantages for the operator: plain-text input on the personal computer greatly simplifies and speeds up operation of the machine. Moreover, the momentary plant and process status is clearly displayed in graphic form. All operating, program and fault data are likewise displayed and simultaneously saved. The industrial PC is also available from VMB with optional
teleservice.
Electrochemical machining is an extremely precise and specific method of anodically removing material from predefined points on the contour of a part. It can also be used to round edges and to incorporate oilways or grooves in a workpiece with maximum precision.
ECM deburring systems are used above all in series production to debur sophisticated metal components, such as workpieces with internal intersecting bores and undercuts, as well as parts with complex geometry.
