Cadem has come up with doNC, a CNC machine simulator software, designed to provide competency in operating CNC machines. Like a flight simulator, it enables a trainee to learn machine operation without an actual machine. Trainees can safely and efficiently practice machine operating skills on a PC, and get ready to operate real CNC machines in a very short time. You can do these for both CNC lathes and machining centers:
You can do these for both CNC lathes and machining centers:
Operate a 100 % realistic machine console
Select from a wide variety of controllers
Learn operation modes – Memory, Edit, Jog, etc.
Learn entry and editing of NC programs
Learn machine operation – Jog, Emergency stop, etc.
Learn how to set work offsets, tool offsets, wear offsets
Cut parts on the machine
The other product launched at IMTEX by the Bangalore-based company is LEANworks LAN. LEANworks enables you to measure and improve productivity, helps improve your OEE dramatically, by helping you measure and reduce waste on your shop floor. LEANworks monitors your machines 24/7, unmanned, and ensures that the latest production data is at your fingertips.
You get reports displaying all the key performance data of your shop floor – Production quantities, OEE, Downtime durations and occurrences, Rejection quantities and reasons, Breakdown statistics, etc. You do not have to go to the shop floor to get data – it comes to you, wherever you are. You get reports on your PC, laptop, mobile or tablet.
The company also launched Nyclopedia, a multimedia teachware for CNC technology. CNC machining is all about motion. It is impossible to teach using text books. The teacher as a result spends a lot of time making power point presentations. These are, however, inadequate, and there is still a huge gap between the student's knowledge and what is required in industry.
NCyclopedia bridges this gap. It improves understanding and retention of topics. It teaches CNC milling and turning technology in a highly effective manner through videos, animations, pictures and text. It covers the complete range of topics in CNC machining - Machine construction, Machining operations, Cutting tools, tool holding, Cutting parameters, Work holding, Programming concepts.
