Electric Cloud, the leader in enterprise continuous delivery, has announced a software and technology partnership with Siemens PLM Software, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services. This partnership agreement allows for deep integrations between Electric Cloud and Siemens PLM technology – enabling solutions for closed-loop federated continuous delivery across all domains of complex mechatronics product development, including software, electrical, control and mechanical engineering.
With the growing importance of software in traditional hardware-focused product development, R&D organisations are facing new challenges trying to unify and present an integrated view of product development lifecycle data across the mechanical, electrical, electronics and software domains. By integrating Siemens PLM Software's Teamcenter portfolio, the world's most widely used digital lifecycle management software for modern mechatronics product development, with Electric Cloud's ElectricCommander, the world's most scalable and flexible continuous delivery platform, this partnership introduces a proven, industry-first closed-loop solution for federating data and information across the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
"This agreement marks a critical step in enabling an industry-best enterprise platform for multi-domain continuous delivery," said Mr Raj Khoshoo, SVP Strategy Initiatives, Siemens PLM. "Siemens PLM Software and Electric Cloud have been working with our customers on how to best manage the federated product lifecycles across all domains of product development. The collaboration strengthens our systems engineering offering."
The Electric Cloud application platform integrated with Siemens PLM Software can run either on premise in a private cloud or on a public cloud leveraging Amazon Web Services, Siemens PLM Software's public cloud certified platform of choice.
"Electric Cloud is excited to join Siemens PLM's partner community. The strength of our two organisations will deliver significant value to our customers," said Mr Steve Brodie, CEO, Electric Cloud. "This partnership with Siemens PLM Software enables us to offer a proven industry-leading end-to-end platform for multi-domain continuous delivery."
