FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: FARO), the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement, imaging, and realization technology, is proud to present the fifth edition of the annual FARO 3D User Conference, specifically organized for the Asia Pacific region. This year, we are expanding our footprint with plans for these exclusive sharing sessions to be held in Shanghai (China), Tokyo (Japan) and Mumbai (India). The 3D User Conference 2017 will once again serve as a key platform for the 3D community to take advantage of various knowledge-exchange interactions and networking opportunities.
ARC Advisory observed a 4.6% growth of the global 3D Scanning market in 2016, bringing the value of the market to US$1.5 billion. The total market is forecasted to reach US$2.3 billion in 2021, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.5% from 2016 to 2021. The projected growth is mainly contributed by accelerated adoption of building information practices within the construction industry.
In Asia, a total of US$312 million was generated in 2016. Driven by new infrastructure in developing markets, this number is projected to hit US$492 million in 2021.
“FARO has grown rapidly in the Asia-Pacific region over the last 16 years and we are committed to sharing our expertise with the regional 3D community,” stated Joseph Arezone, Chief Commercial Officer. “We strive to increase our value to the region in many ways, including the hosting of interactive programs for the industry to share knowledge and engage in discussions about recent ground-breaking technologies in the market.”
FARO’s 3D User Conference is the industry’s annual meeting point; well attended by strong representation from all sectors of the global community such as Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC), Energy and Natural Resources, Heritage, Process, Power, and Piping (PPP), and Shipbuilding industries. The Conference will feature an expansive agenda to demonstrate how laser scanning solutions can benefit multiple verticals and applications.
Conference attendees can seize the opportunity to learn about the capabilities and explore the potential of 3D terrestrial laser scanning technology through keynote presentations, power speeches, case studies, and active engagement with industry heavyweights. As part of the conference experience, participants can also interact with selected technology solution companies, who will be presenting on their solutions and products in the ‘Technology Track’ segment.
Arezone concludes, “Based on overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous conferences, we concluded that it would be valuable to laser focus on Japan, China and India and we have high expectations for an even better experience for the fifth edition of the FARO 3D User Conference. We look forward to welcoming the community as embark together on a learning journey”.
