MCM says it has long been pursuing concepts for the implementation of 4.0 technologies in the development of flexible production systems. This will be demonstrated by concrete examples at EMO Hannover 2017.
MCM designs and manufactures integrated production systems, which the exhibitors report are based on top-of-the-line horizontal four- and five-axis machining centers. The wide product spectrum includes high-performance and highly dynamic machining centers, flexible automation with a variety of automation elements to handle workpieces, pallets and tools, and the company's own JFMX (Java-powered Flexible Manufacturing Executive) supervising software. Also offered is a range of software services to support the manufacturing process, various manufacturing technologies, and the system integration of non-core technologies to achieve a complete production system. As is pointed out, customers can flexibly develop complex projects as a result with one single partner. The Italian manufacturers underline that they have always pursued a multidisciplinary approach that allows the effective implementation of Industry 4.0 concepts to FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) solutions. The manifold opportunities provided by this approach will be demonstrated live at the stand, illuminated by concrete examples. The 4.0 technologies reportedly facilitate proactive maintenance, optimized processes and integrated production. Solutions highlighted in this context include FMS total management with the help of the supervising software, multi-technological processes with simple robot programming, human-centered manufacturing through interaction at the operating station, and advanced tool management.
