HYDRAULIC SELF CENTEREING STEADY RESTS

DESCRIPTION
The self-centering Steady Rest works on an entirely different principle. Three rollers hold the workpiece at points approximately 120 ? apart. The middle roller is pushed onto the workpiece axially, while the other two rollers form exact curves
as they move along precise cam surface rigidly attached to the middle roller arm. These three rollers move in such a way that they always hold the job in exact center. Steady can be operated by hydraulic or pneumatic power
