Ever since its first exports to India in 1950s, the company has been witnessing a steady growth in terms of sales and customer satisfaction. The primary aim of Mr Edward Jones, the COO of Hangsterfer’s is to protect the environment world over without compromising on health and safety of employees. In a conversation with CNCTimes during IMTEX 2015, Mr Jones who himself is a Certified Metal Fluid Specialist, says his first visit to India was 20 years ago and since then he has only seen the country develop. “The Indian market has been developing with each passing year and this year (2015) will be the turning point for us. The world market has been pro-India and the metal cutting industry has been witnessing a sharp rise. This is the sixth IMTEX in which we are participating and our main aim is to educate more and more people about the use of lubricants in metal cutting technology,” Mr Jones said.
“I am a teacher more than a sales professional. The company’s vision has always been to educate and enthuse core values about safety and environment within the people. Customers have certain concerns which we need to address so as to satisfy them. We are committed to safety and environment. We would love to increase our market share and continue the good work of protecting the environment,” Mr Jones said adding, the company’s philosophy has always been producing high quality and high performing fluids without compromise on safety, health and environment. “We have the best products for the metal cutting and metal forming industry. We want the customers to share a long-term relationship with us and we are committed to live up to their expectations,” Mr Jones said.
The company has 72 distributors across the globe and a reliable partner in Sanjay Tools in India which has been Hangsterfer’s partner for six years now. The company is dedicated to its distributors and surely looking to expand their market share. At IMTEX 2015, the company launched lubricants for specialised areas such as aluminium, titanium, special alloys etc. “Our main expectation behind participating in IMTEX 2015 was to further educate and demonstrate before local markets the importance of value-added lubricants. This is thought about the least in the metal working industry but it is very important. We wanted to highlight the importance of metal working fluids and got an opportunity to share our knowledge with the industry,” Mr Jones said.
On his views of the Indian market, Mr Jones said the market is very good. “I have got a very good feeling about India. I make it a point to come here at least once every year and believe that India will be among the top the 10 economic powerhouses in the world. The Indian market is exceptionally price sensitive as the customers here don’t see the need to pay extra, but they do not realise that if you want to get value-added services, you have to shell out some extra bucks. However, the Indian market is slowly recognising this which can be seen from lot of positive shifts happening,” Mr Jones concluded.
