The new release of MachineWorks, v7.3 includes support for mobile operating devices. This opens the door for a whole new range of applications on and off the shop floor. The new version also introduces a wide new range of optimisations. The expertise gathered in the extensive work previously done on multi-threading has been drawn on to provide substantial improvements to single-threaded performance and further multi-threaded performance improvements. The result is that parts such as complex 3-axis die-mold jobs can now be simulated and verified in much reduced times, often running as much as 3 times faster on single core hardware.
In the new v7.3, multi-threading works even harder reaching another level that makes performance even more efficient; actually, MachineWorks has developed an ‘intelligent multithreading’ strategy particularly when carrying out large numbers of cuts so, even when using multiple threads, the engine might decide that a cut would be quicker if done using a single thread and will do so.
As usual, the new release also contains a raft of customer-requested enhancements, further extending the range and flexibility of the MachineWorks toolkit.
