The Ortlinghaus Group was founded in 1898 and has since then delivered engineering excellence. Today, it is a leading manufacturer of clutches, brakes and systems for drive solutions in many industries. Ortlinghaus is a fourth-generation family-run company with more than 550 employees and manufacturing sites in Germany, Switzerland and China. It has structures and processes in place to ensure the long-term stability of the Group. The values and long-term targets, which comprise stability, innovation, and growth, are aligned in this respect, too.
Ortlinghaus is spread across the globe consisting of more than 25 branch offices, sales partners, and service points, which ensures that it can respond quickly and stay in touch with the clients' needs.
“At IMTEX Forming, 2016, we didn’t launch any new product but showcased a range of our clutches, brakes and systems that included Weight Clutch (Cee-go) which can be used in the C-Frame presses ranging from 160-250 tonnes (Max clutch torque 18000 Nm). Our objective behind participating in the annual exhibition was to educate people about new products and help them develop their products so as to achieve higher efficiency,” the Managing Director of Ortlinghaus Drive Technology India Pvt Ltd, Mr. Amit Ladsaongikar said while speaking to CNCTimes.com during IMTEX.
He added that the Indian subsidiary of Ortlinghaus was set up five years ago and since then has been doing a good business. “We witnessed around 20% hike in our sales last year, but it was not satisfactory since we had expected to get more returns. I think, in current scenario, our customers in India hold their decisions for long which affects the sales. And above all, the Indian market is very price sensitive. Customers need high quality at optimum price,” Mr. Ladsaongikar said.
“Going forward, we would focus more on providing efficient service, increase our service set up in India and provide quality products so as to give 100% customer satisfaction. We want to grow by keeping our customers happy as that has always been our strength,” Mr. Ladsaongikar concluded.
