With an eye on increasing its customer base by 30 percent, HaasTec, the technology exhibition by Haas Automation, a leading manufacturer of CNC machines, commenced on Thursday. The organisers are expecting footfalls of around 2,000 people during the four-day expo. Besides, the company hopes that nearly 1,000 customers are attracted to the HaasTec so that it can increase its customer base and thereby penetration in the Indian market.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the chairman of Parle Global Technology Pvt Ltd, Rajmal Mehta. In his speech, Mehta said that the beginning of the exhibition was good and Parle Group, which is leading machine manufacturers for the healthcare sector, is happy to have partnered Haas Automation for this endeavour. “I hope the partnership continues for a long time,” Mehta said.
“At this HaasTec, we are demonstrating visitors the power and versatility of Haas CNC machine tools and their outstanding performance to price ratio. As our customers already know, it is no longer necessary to spend a small fortune if, for example, you want to machine hard metals and complex shapes in 4 and 5 axes. Haas machines enable companies to cost-effectively produce high-recision parts, either in small batches or in production quantities,” Terrence Miranda, the managing director of Haas Automation India, said.
Apart from demonstrating advanced machinery, the exhibition also has some distinguished features such as recording the feedback from customers. The company already has 500 of its machineries working in India and through this exhibition, it aims at further increasing the reach and getting more customers.
“Participating in the HaasTec has always been helpful for us since here we get the domain-specific visitors who are really interested in either installing the CNC machines or are willing to install the related technology such as CAD/CAM for increasing productivity. We have been participating in every HaasTec held so far either in Pune, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Gurgaon or for that matter Mumbai,” said Ramesh Baleri, general manager (sales) of Delcam Software (India) Pvt Ltd.
Echoing similar feelings, Gurucharan Vani, the assistant manager (CAD/CAM) of Onward Technologies Ltd, said that being part of such technology-specific exhibitions has been helpful to them not only in getting added customers but also in reaching out to the industry through a specific medium. Apart from the above two, companies such as Mastercam, Seco Tools, Sandvik Coromant, Mitsubishi Materials, Nickunj, Renishaw, Zoller, Soverign Tech, Srujan Solutions and others are also taking part in the expo.
