The versatile gripper SCHUNK Co-act gripper EGH enables particularly easy entry into the world of cobots. With a variably adjustable total stroke of 80 mm, the parallel gripper covers a particularly wide range of workpieces. For each gripping operation, the finger position can be individually defined and the gripper status evaluated via IO-Link.
Parallel kinematics ensures constant gripping forces over the entire stroke while no Z compensation is required during programming – a distinct advantage compared to grippers with scissor kinematics. The gripper status is indicated via an integrated LED strip light, enabling smooth interaction between human beings and robots.
The plug & work module is available as a fully pre-assembled starter package with a suitable interface and URCaps plugin for Universal Robots cobots. Commissioning and programming are easy and intuitive and take just thirty minutes. The flexible fingers and changing inserts mean different workpieces and geometries, in particular, can be gripped quickly. The Co-act gripper EGH is particularly suitable for use in cells with a protective fence or for applications where the human and robot workspaces do not directly overlap (coexistence).
