What counts in industrial applications is productivity and work rate. To meet the high requirements of the metalworking industry, Bosch is now launching eleven small angle grinders which have tried-and-tested convenience and user protection features while also delivering significantly higher performance. With 1300 or 1700 watts, the new models offer a considerably faster work rate than their predecessors. They also have optimized features to provide a long tool lifetime. The design of the ventilation slots has been modified, making them smaller in size to provide a special air flow. This reliably protects the motor against dust and ensures efficient motor cooling. Tests by SLG Prüf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH also prove that these tools offer an almost 50 percent longer carbon brush lifetime than competitor models. The carbon brushes need to be replaced less often, which saves time and money.
Bosch's small angle grinders are equipped with comprehensive protection features to enable them to meet increasingly high work safety requirements. The protection features include Vibration Control, Kick-Back Stop, soft start, and restart protection. In addition to this, models with integrated “Intelligent Brake System” are also available. These features enable the tools to be used in areas that are subject to high safety standards such as industrial production, crane, ship, tank and container construction, and in refineries and on oil platforms. To enable tradespeople to complete any task conveniently, all of the new angle grinders also have tried-and-tested product features such as a tool-free adjustable protective guard, a slim handle design and a large spindle lock button to enable quick and easy accessory changes.
The GWS 13-125 CI Professional, GWS 17-125 CI Professional and GWS 17-150 CI Professional models stand for consistent performance even in heavy duty applications such as cutting steel pipes and profiles. These tools are available with integrated brake system as the GWS 13-125 CIX Professional and GWS 17-125 CIX Professional.
The GWS 13-125 CIE Professional and GWS 17-125 CIE Professional angle grinders are suitable for working on various materials such as concrete, stone and tiles, which require different accessories and speed pre-selection. These too are available with brake system as the GWS 13-125 CIEX Professional and GWS 17-125 CIEX Professional.
The GWS 17-125 CIT Professional and the GWS 17-125 Inox Professional are now available for working on sensitive materials such as stainless steel. Both tools offer a low speed while at the same time delivering high torque to enable applications that are gentle on the material.
The small angle grinders in the 1300 and 1700 watt classes are available now at specialist retail outlets. Bosch also offers a comprehensive range of accessories. These include, for example, cutting, flap, diamond and grinding discs, brushes, diamond core cutters and dust extraction guards.
