Tell us about your company in brief?

IMI Precision Engineering is a world leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies. By working closely with customers to gain a deeper understanding of their engineering needs, we connect our people, products and expertise to give our customers’ equipment and their business a clear advantage. We utilize the innovation and technical expertise of our 6000-plus people and have an ability to deliver exceptional local service. As a subsidiary of the £1.6 billion (US$ 2.16) turnover engineering group IMI PLC, we in India have been manufacturing products at our plant in Noida for over last two decades now. In addition, our sales and service network is in 75 countries, with global technical centres in the USA, Germany, UK, China and India, and manufacturing facilities around the world.

What are the branding/marketing strategies adopted by your company?


IMI Precision Engineering’s reputation rests on a world-class portfolio of high-performance products including IMI Norgren, IMI Buschjost, IMI FAS, IMI Herion and IMI Maxseal. Our customer is the prime focus for us. We aim to offer best in class engineered solutions to our customers and a great value proposition. We work very closely with our customers in our chosen business verticals namely Industrial Automation, Energy, Commercial vehicles, Railway and Life science. We have a wide sales and distribution network all across the country which is backed by state of art of India technical centre and Indian manufacturing plant.


What is your purpose behind participating in Engimach 2017?

ENGIMACH is India's largest Technology and Innovations Show. ENGIMACH believes that innovation is the key for any business to survive, grow and sustain, and so do we. Therefore, we think ENGIMACH is the perfect place to market and promote the best of our products. Also, Gujarat is one of the main markets for upcoming world-class industries with the huge potential to improve with great products that we plan to provide.

Are you launching any product/service during the ENGIMACH 2017?

We are launching a new first in its industry mobile application called the IMI Norgren Express App. It is made with customers’ needs in mind. When you need a replacement pneumatic part for a critical piece of precision machinery, time is of the essence. So, we've made it faster and easier to find what you need on the move and how it can be delivered in shortest time.

You can:

Scan a label: Scan a product label and we'll read the part number and search for it in our database of over 1 million parts and immediately find your product.
Type in a part number: Start typing and we'll automatically predict the part number that you are looking for, making it easy for you to quickly find the product you need.
Find local stock: Once you've found the product you were looking for then we'll help you find a replacement part fast, either from our own stock or from our extensive network of IMI Precision Engineering distributors.
Send in photo: If you can't identify a product then take a photo using the IMI Norgren Express App and we'll send it to one of our experts who will respond back to you quickly.

What are your expectations for the Indian Market?

Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the scope for improvement is immense. With initiatives like ‘Make-in-India’, ‘Digital India’ the industry is moving towards greater heights. With all this in mind, we expect the demand for our high quality and performance products to increase in the coming years. More companies want to invest in the Indian market, and those already in the market want to expand their presence. We expect the competition level to rise, which is in the best interest of the Indian consumers, giving them the best technology and services.


In your opinion, how is the customer behaviour in India?

India being a growing economy has great potential especially in the manufacturing industry. The response from the customer’s base in India is steadily growing. Our accelerated growth over the last years, general local market growth and our desire to increase market share have led us to outgrow our current facility size. Consequently, we are coming up with a new facility in Noida. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to be ready by Q2 2018. Spread on the land of over 8,000 square metres, we are heading for a factory of about 4,000 square metres and an office space of about 2,500 square metres.
