The performance of the 2-D laser machines and the solid-state lasers from TRUMPF is constantly evolving. Already in previous years presented at any trade show TRUMPF technology highlights and defined the standards of solid-state laser cutting new. Worth mentioning are especially the Bright Line Fiber function that made the solid-state laser for universal tool, and the Cool Line function. The latter stabilizes the cutting process in thick mild steel through targeted cooling and thereby enables for example the cutting of very delicate contours. On Blechexpo in Stuttgart TRUMPF presented again innovations that bring the laser cutting decisive steps forward.
This includes the intelligent beam monitoring SmartBeam Control. It makes the solid-state laser machines of the TruLaser Series 5000 process even safer. SmartBeam Control automatically adjusts the focal position of the laser during cutting. Thus, the function ensures a constantly high process safety and also enables diagnosis of the cutting system, also remotely via TeleService.
The new function Condition Guide to the TruLaser Series 5000 increases transparency. A glance at the control is enough to know about the state of the machine communication. A traffic light system provides information on the status of key elements that influence the cutting capability of the machine. If necessary Condition Guide gives recommendations to the operator. History charts also facilitate the prognosis when action could occur. Maintenance work can be as efficient and demand planning.
TRUMPF TruLaser 5030 fiber showed in Stuttgart also with new laser power. In addition to the previously offered three, five and eight kilowatts of power, the engine is now available with the TruDisk 6001 laser with six kilowatts of power available, which ensures especially at medium and high sheet thicknesses for fast panel maturities. By TruDisk 6001 and the functions mentioned the TruLaser 5030 fiber cuts mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum to 25 and copper and brass quickly and reliably up to ten millimeters.
