Electronica Mechatronic Systems (India) Private Limited is a small scale company with 130 employees. The company was started in 1978 to meet the requirement of linear scales and DROs for its parent company Electronica Machine Tools Limited.
The company started in the industrial estate promoted by Maratha Chamber of Commerce for Electronic Industry. Soon it signed manufacturing license agreement with the company RSF in Austria for manufacturing optical linear scale. This technical tie up helped the company to get into international markets worldwide and fuelled the growth. We make variety of DROs and Linear scales to suit different applications like profile projectors, drilling machines, milling machines etc. These DRO-Linear scales help for measurements during process for correct positioning.
The next major step was to develop Magnetic Scale, then unknown to the world. With this technology, Electronica Mechatronics started offering Magnetic Tape scales up-to 50 meters, with 5 micron resolution and 10 micron/meter accuracy. The advantage with the magnetic scale is that it does not get affected by dirt, oil, water etc giving the correct measurements.
The challenge was to make this magnetic scale “Absolute”. With use of Incremental system, the user needs to reference the measurement scale after every power ON. This can lead to job rejections and more cycle time. Absolute measurement system does not need referencing after every power ON and can reduce the cycle time. These Absolute systems can be useful with CNC machines too. Now, the company has added Magnetic Rotary encoders to its product line.
Besides this, the company is also in the business of metrology to make post process inspections and measurements. Height Gauges, CMMs and vision inspection machines are made for 1D, 2D and 3D inspections. More details about the product are available on www.electronicaems.com.
The company has received ISO 9001-2008 certification and all its products are CE certified and ROHS compliant. Speaking to CNCTImes.com during IMTEX Forming 2016, the Executive Chairman of Electronica Mechatronic Systems (I) Pvt Ltd, Mr. P K Ratnaparkhi shares his views about the current market scenario as well as company’s future. The Excerpts:
