Please tell us something about your company?
We are a CNC manufacturing company and started producing CNC machines from the year 2007, under the name of Global Hydraulic. We have a manufacturing plant at Rajkot, and we have established our dealership network throughout India. Earlier in 2007, we didn’t have any major competition in the market, but from 2014 onwards after we started manufacturing standard machines, we started getting competition regarding pricing, products etc. Today, it is a very competitive market with customers looking for quality products for the benefit of price.
How is the Indian market right now regarding business?
Indian market right now is growing for the machine tool industry, and as per my knowledge and belief, it will keep on increasing for the next two years, so the market is very good now for all the manufacturers. If you provide a very good quality product for the benefit of the price to the customer, then definitely it will boost up your sales in the market.
What’s your opinion on the Indian customer’s behaviour? Are they sensitive towards pricing or they are application oriented?
Indian customers are always looking for the best price because Indian market mainly consists of SME’s having competition for their products. They don’t have the margin with their product, so they don’t want to invest a lot in their machines. Customers do want a quality product, but the price is the first criteria for the selection of the machine.
Are you launching any product in Engimach 2017?
Not this time as we have launched our VMC, just six months back. At Engimach, we are demonstrating machines for different segments. Most VMC Manufacturers have machines with a technology called as a single column, but we have launched our VMC with the double column. This technology is popular in foreign countries, in our country it is NOT so widely accepted just because of the pricing. If we use this technology in India, it will be very beneficial for the customers.
Do you think that Indian machine tool manufacturers are at par with the global players?
Yes, but what happens is that price is not a constraint for the customer when he plans to buy an imported machine. When it comes to selecting a machine built in India, their focus goes to pricing and not the application or the quality. If a customer is looking for a good product, then they must adjust with the pricing of the machines manufactured in India, as I believe that the Indian machine tool builders are very capable. They can provide better machines as compared to the foreign machine tool builders.
What’s your opinion on Engimach 2017?
Engimach is a very good platform to showcase your products, as there are a lot of exhibitors and decision makers, so it is the best way to reach each customer.
